Grupo Invicta is a dance performance company specializing in street-style Latin dances, including Salsa / Mambo, Street Cha-Cha-Cha, Rueda de Casino, Bachata and Merengue. Our members have diverse dance backgrounds, bringing with them a unique blend of dance styles, experiences and influences from Jazz, Hip Hop and Afro-Carribean dances. The Cubanabes is an ongoing project by members of Grupo Invicta, to showcase their creative energy and to constantly challenge themselves at competition level. The Cubanabes are the Champions of the Sentosa “Salsa By The Beach” dance competition in June 2006 and the “Let Me Shine” Salsa Shines competition organised by Attitude Dance School in January 2008. Our shared vision is to create unique and exciting dance choreographies and to put up high-energy performances. We have performed and taught extensively at local and international venues, including corporate events, festivals and congresses. Past performances include the 10th West Coast Salsa Congress 2008 in Los Angeles CA, USA, the Singapore International Salsa Festival 2007 and Salsa Bangkok Fiesta 2007.
