DJ Joseph DJ Joseph started his journey as a Salsa DJ in Dec 2006 when he is invited to spin for Groove Dance School's X'MAS party at DXO at the Esplanade to a sell out full capacity crowd of 400. Since then he has found his passion as a DJ and now raring to share his vast collection of Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha and Bachata tracks with his audience. Taking his new found passion to the next level, he took part in the "Singapore Top Salsa DJ competition 2007" organised by Union Square, "Home of the Latin Beats" and emerged as one of the top 3 finalists in the competition in his very first attempt in such DJ competition. Since then, DJ Joseph has established himself in Singapore as a budding Salsa DJ, he is currently the resident DJ for Groove Dance School quarterly Groovy Nights and at the same time receiving invites from other dance schools to spin for their social nights. At his own initiative, he also seeks and explores opportunities to spin in Latin club in all his overseas trips most recently in Bailatino Salsa Club, Tel Aviv, Israel in Jan 2008 and his set was well received. He also spun at a regional level in the 2nd Malaysian World Latin Festival in Penang(Malaysia) in Apr 2008. In Singapore, he spins occasionally in Union Square and also had a short sting in Azzucar, Clarke Quay playing commercial Latin Top 40 and mixed Latin genres including Reggaeton on a crowded Friday night. DJ Joseph prides himself in having the capability of reading the dance floor. Being an avid Salsa dancer, he knows very clearly what sort of music and beat gets dancers to get onto the dance floor and to sustain them on the dance floor craving for more. Currently, DJ Joseph is exploring other genres of Latin music and expanding his collection continuously bringing in the latest Latin music from the States and introducing them on the dance floor. At the same time, DJ Joseph is now currently exploring new areas and to reach out to the crowd in Latin Ballroom circle. Eventually, he aim to be a versatile Latin DJ who encompass all areas of Latin Genres including even the most popular Latin ballroom tracks.
