DJ Uki

An interest in audio processing took a turn into spinning dance music at private parties in Singapore and UK where DJ Uki was studying for his Masters in 2003. After picking up Salsa dance unintentionally, DJ Uki developed a keen interest in Latin music and started an online Latin radio station in 2006 for 2 years to understand the type for music that would appeal to Latin dancers. As the station grew in popularity worldwide from 1 star to 4 out of 5 stars, DJ Uki decided to close the station and ventured actively into public spinning.
DJ Uki started out spinning Latin music in the year 2006 for his Salsa class private practices where these private practice sessions eventually developed into 5 full scale Salsa parties, attracting crowds of 120 people at the last party in 2008. Since then, DJ Uki has been spinning regularly as guest DJ at Union Square, major Latin events at Sentosa, JJ Annual Parties and for social nights at dance studios in Singapore.
